Getting started with IoniaPay

Owner Documents:

  • ID Document (Passport, Driver’s License, State Issued ID)

Owner Documents:

  • DBA Name Docs (if applicable)

  • EIN documents

  • Completed/Signed Certification of Beneficial Owners Form

  • 3 Months prior Processing History/Statements

  • 3 Months of Most Recent Bank Statements

  • Voided Check

Visit the Ionia Website: Go https://merchant.ionia.app/ and locate the “Apply” button in the top right corner:

  1. Start the Application: Enter your information to create your account.

  2. Provide Required Information: The application will ask for the following:

  • Business details (name, address, tax ID, industry type)

  • Contact information for the primary business owner or authorized representative

  • Details about your processing needs (estimated transaction volume, types of payments accepted)

  • Bank account information for receiving funds

  1. Supporting Documentation: You may be asked to upload:

  • Government-issued ID for the business owner

  • Business license or registration documents

  • Bank statements

  1. Submit Your Application: Once you've completed the form and provided necessary documents, carefully review your information before submitting application.

Review: The Ionia team will thoroughly review your application and supporting materials.
Decision: You'll usually receive a decision within 24-48 business hours. Ionia may contact you for additional information if needed.
Approval and Onboarding: If approved, you will receive more information guiding you through the onboarding process and setting up your merchant account.

​​We will send you several emails during the application process, including when a decision has been made. If you have questions about your application, you can access the merchant portal by using the Login button on the top of this page (coming soon) or email our team at underwriting@ionia.io. Please be sure to add our underwriting email address to your safe senders list to ensure delivery.

How long does the application process take?

The process can often be completed within a few business days. However, if extra verification is required, it may take a little longer.
